Latest reviews of Edmonton Journal ePaper app for iPhone and iPad
Garbage
Although I have a subscription this app will not down load as regularly locks out and says I have too many active subscriptions and wants me to pay the daily rate
Terrible
I have to call every time to have them reset my account in order to download issues without paying. Terrible.
Terrible app
I can not review the app as it will not let me sign on. I get a message Too many activations and wants me to pay more money to iTunes. No other devices running. I tried the computer and it works fine on Windows 10. I pay for delivery of the journal yet cant read the epaper from my phone when Im away from home. Who do I turn to for help for this junk app?
Vastly improved
I have subscribed via this app in my iPad for several years, and it has finally matured and become consistently easy and pleasurable to use. Now, it comes down to some fine tuning.
Auto-download has been disabled, and Im fine with that. It was erratic, and unnecessary now that the front page pops open so soon after I request delivery.
That said, I am mildly irritated now that it takes two taps to open my morning paper: one tap to request delivery, and a second tap once the issue appears in my library. Before the most recent update, my paper was requested AND opened with a single tap. I know—one extra tap is a ridiculously minor inconvenience, but it feels strikingly inelegant every time I have to tap once, wait, and then tap again.
Typical Journal garbage
The new unreliable, uneasy to use or navigate Edmonton Journal! Just another poor quality product from our friends at the Edmonton journal! The EJ still living down to its low standards and hoping we are stupid enough to pay them twice for it!
